Payment Providers: Payment providers collect and process billing and payment information. We receive information about purchases and subscriptions, but not full payment card numbers.

When you delete a note or your account, the associated information is removed from active systems. Limited copies may remain temporarily in backups or logs, with Service Providers, or when retention is required for legal, security, billing, or operational purposes.

How AI models are used

We use AI Service Providers to provide features such as transcripts, summaries, flashcards, quizzes, and chat responses.

  • When you use one of these features, the content needed to fulfill your request is sent to the applicable Service Provider.
  • The Service Provider processes that content to produce the requested result.
  • We may store the result so it remains available to you in the Services.
  • Our agreements and configurations prohibit AI Service Providers from using your Personal Data or User Content to train or improve their models.
  • Service Providers may retain information only as permitted by their terms and our agreements with them.

How speech recognition is used

Speech recognition may be performed on your device or by Apple. Apple's handling of speech data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

What we do not do

  • No Model Training: We do not use your Personal Data or User Content to train general-purpose AI models, and we require our AI Service Providers not to use it to train or improve their models.

  • Turn off Product Analytics in the app.
  • Export supported content using the available in-app tools.
  • Delete your account using the in-app account settings.
